Technically speaking, this wasn’t an actual movie that came out in theaters, but a made-for-TV miniseries. This translates into about 4 hours of hell for me. However, because my boyfriend foolishly rented it, and because I stupidly watched it, I’m doing this as a sort of public service announcement so you can avoid my fate.

How Can Reel Reviews be Improved?
UPDATE: I’ve started implementing some of the improvements I discussed (and suggested by my commenters) to the posts. From now on, each review will include a little blurb at the beginning which contains the year the movie was made, the director, the rating, the starring cast, AND my own Reel Reviews Rating. I’ll go back to past reviews and add these elements, but it may take some time.
I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys. I’d like to know what you guys think so far about my reviews. Have they been helpful? Are there some things you’d like me to focus on more? Focus on less?
I’d also like to add certain elements to my reviews, and perhaps introduce different kinds of posts as well.
Here are a few things off the top of my head:
EuroTrip

Title: EuroTrip
Year: 2004
Director: Jeff Schaeffer
Starring Cast: Scott Mechlowicz, Jacob Pitts, Kristin Kreuk
Rated: R, though for this review I watched the DVD “unrated version”
Reel Reviews Rating:
When Eurotrip first came out I saw the trailer and deemed it too stupid to watch. It looked like a typical teen comedy with naked, horny teenagers cavorting all over the place. My brother and sister however, went out and saw it because of Michelle Tracthenberg, who played Buffy’s little sister Dawn in the tv show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and because of Kristin Kreuk, who my brother thinks is hot. My siblings came back from the movie absolutely loving it, and when the DVD came out they bought it immediately. They convinced me to watch it with them, and by jove, I didn’t regret it at all.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Title: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Year: 2004
Director: Charlie Kaufman
Starring Cast: Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet
Rated: R
Reel Reviews Rating:
What if you could erase painful memories from your mind? Is it possible to completely erase someone from your mind? What are the moral implications involved? These are some of the questions posed by this movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Moulin Rouge!

Title: Moulin Rouge!
Year: 2001
Director: Baz Luhrmann
Starring Cast: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, John Leguizamo
Rated: PG-13
Reel Reviews Rating:
